We sat down to a lovely spaghetti dinner last night, and Alison sat down and frowned. "I want Spaghetti-os," she complained.
"Alison, look at this! If we move this piece of spaghetti around, you can have Spaghetti-S's! And here's a Spaghetti-I!"
Amazingly, she bought into it. She formed a lot of letters with her dinner in between bites. Finally she holds up a piece of pasta. It dangles in a loop between her fingers. She grins, and exclaims, "Look, it's a spaghetti uvula!" Ah, the random words that kids learn....

I remember when you picked out your pumpkin. You insisted on carrying it yourself and promptly dropped it...quickly turning it into pumpkin pie. Then, if I remember right, you decided that you needed pumpkin mousse, too, because the replacement pumpkin was dropped, too. And then there was the bowling ball incident. hmmm...maybe you should let Alison carry her own pumpkins. ;-)
